The PID controller is the brains of the oven. It sets the temperature, holds it, and runs the timer. PID stands for proportional integral derivative, and it is the type that auto-tunes to hold your set temperature instead of overshooting and undershooting the way a basic thermostat does. If you are building your own oven, retrofitting an old one, or running another heat application (a forge, a kiln, a brewing setup), you can buy the control on its own here.
First, decide which of two things you need: a complete control box (ready to bolt on) or a bare PID controller (the brains only).
Control boxes (ready to bolt on)
LCD PID Control Box - 30 Amp - (1-2 elements)
The complete prewired enclosure. Runs 1 or 2 heating elements, up to 6,500 watts combined.
LCD PID Control Box - 50 Amp - (3-4 elements)
The same prewired enclosure, rated for bigger builds. Runs 3 or 4 heating elements, up to 10,500 watts combined.
Bare PID controllers (the brains only)
