This is for the hands-on builder. If you are wiring your own control box, building a forge or a kiln, or replacing a controller that quit, this is the part that runs the show. It is the lowest-cost way to get Silverback's controls: you already have the box, so you just need the brains.

You get a fully featured controller, not a bare-bones one.
The cheap controllers you find online usually skip the extras. This one has a built-in timer and pulse output (it rapidly switches the element to hold temperature) for a solid-state relay (the electronic switch that pulses the heating element on and off), together in one unit.
You program it with a real person on the phone if you want.
Call us for as long as you own it and we will walk you or your employees through the programming. That does not stop when the warranty does.

Set it well beyond an oven's range for a forge or a kiln, or switch it to a cooling application. It does the same on-off control either direction.

Will it work with my power?
Everything you need is printed on this page, in plain text. Not sure? Snap a photo of your panel and call us, and we will walk through it together.
I could just build one myself.
You could, and on materials alone a home build can come out cheaper. The real cost is time and risk: the weekends spent cutting, sealing, and wiring are weekends not spent coating paid work, and a home build is not engineered, tested, or warrantied. It shows up in 5 to 7 business days, programmed and ready to wire into your build, with a 2-year parts warranty behind it. If you are set on building, we also sell the PID controller and parts, which are the hard part to source.
Will it fit my box or panel?

What is included in the price?
It arrives programmed and ready to wire into your build, and a 2-year parts warranty and lifetime phone support are included at no upcharge. Add-ons are optional, so you only pay for what your work needs.
Do you help with setup?
Yes. Lifetime phone support is included: call for as long as you own it and we will walk you through setup, programming, or a repair, no matter when you bought. Everything you need is printed on this page in plain text.
Do these LCD controllers include ramp and soak?
No. The standard LCD PID controllers hold one set temperature and run a timer. Every size in the line is the same controller with a bigger display.
If you need ramp and soak, that is the Bluetooth Ramp and Soak controller, sold as its own unit or as the controller choice on either control box.
Will it run a forge or kiln, not just a powder oven?
Yes. On one of our ovens the controller is capped at the oven's own limit. On its own it can be set well beyond that for a forge or a kiln, or switched to run a cooling application.

Freight, warranty, and returns, in plain terms.
Shipping, in plain terms
Free shipping. PID controllers and control boxes ship free, as small parts, so there is no freight charge to figure in. If it arrives visibly damaged, note it and let us know and we will make it right.
Warranty and support
Your control is backed by our warranty, and you get phone support if you need help with the part: call us and we will walk you through setup, programming, or a repair. Warranty parts are sent out once you mail the broken part back.
Returns
Cancel within 24 hours for a full refund; after that a 20% restocking fee applies. Returns within 30 days of receiving your order carry a 20% restocking fee, you cover return shipping, and the item must be in original condition.
If there is major damage, refuse the shipment and we will handle the claim, repair or replace, and reship.
